There is no single list of addresses that works for every registrant. Start with the exact home and the person’s circumstances, then resolve the state, local, supervision, and provider questions separately.- 1
Identify the address and jurisdiction
Record the street, unit, county, and actual municipality or unincorporated area. Do not infer jurisdiction from an Orlando mailing address or a rental advertisement.

Gather the individual requirements
Have the conviction information, relevant dates, release paperwork, and current supervision conditions ready for the responsible authority. Ask which statutory provisions apply; registry status alone does not answer that question.

Find a realistic candidate
Compare ordinary rentals, family or shared homes, and reentry referrals. Ask about written screening criteria, availability, move-in costs, and a possible intake date before treating an option as secured.

Find the local code and the right contact
Check both county and municipal sources. Search the official code for residence, residency, sexual offender, sexual predator, and protected locations. Ask the clerk or responsible local office whether newer amendments or enforcement decisions affect the text you found. Record the section and date rather than copying a distance from a rental listing.
For an Orange County candidate, the Comptroller’s helpful-links page connects to the county code, property appraiser, and municipal websites. Use those links to establish the governing jurisdiction and locate its code. The Orange County Sheriff’s registration page supplies a local contact route. These are lookup examples, not a claim that every Orlando-area address is acceptable.
When supervised, also contact the assigned officer about the proposed address and individual conditions. For a move from another state, ask the current supervising authority about the transfer process before arranging a move.

Build a Florida rental candidate list
Collect exact addresses from property managers, owner-managed listings, family or shared-housing contacts, and local housing-support referrals. A listing is a lead; “registrant friendly” is not proof of availability or address suitability.Ask the provider first
“Can you consider my registration and supervision circumstances under your written screening criteria? Is this exact unit available, what is due before move-in, and can you wait for an address review?” Keep the provider’s reply and fee terms.
Review the household and property
For a family home or shared rental, record the household members, lease or occupancy requirements, and any questions arising from individual conditions. Identify the actual building and unit rather than using the leasing office as the search point.

Research an exact Florida address in the app
Safe Living Search combines matching Google Places results with available directory records. Florida searches include available in-home daycare records. Coverage is not a complete inventory of active childcare providers, and this guide does not establish when the production directory was last refreshed.
Enter the residential address and confirm the map pin, choose the research distance and location filters, then inspect the result cards and map markers. Distance estimates run between mapped points, not parcel boundaries. A location’s type, source, and proximity are leads to verify, not legal classifications or approval.
A zero-result search does not prove an address is eligible: relevant locations may be missing, newly opened, differently categorized, or outside the chosen search. School bus stops are not included in the app’s current coverage. Confirm any applicable bus-stop questions with the responsible school district or local authority.

Start with the candidate
A fictional landlord has supplied an exact unit, but has not confirmed screening acceptance. In a real search, enter that unit’s address, verify the mapped point, and establish the governing county/city and individual requirements before choosing settings.

Record provider acceptance as pending and address status as unverified. Ask the responsible authority whether the childcare record is a covered location and how the distance must be measured. Save the response and any remaining questions with the candidate worksheet.
