How the Search Process Works

Start by entering a residential address, city, ZIP code, or neighborhood. Safe Living Search uses this information to locate the area being reviewed and begin the address research process.
Configure the Applicable Restrictions
Set the required distance and select location filters such as schools, parks, daycare centers, and playgrounds to reflect the state and local rules you are researching.
Review Nearby Results
Safe Living Search displays mapped locations and distance information so users can better understand whether a property may be near a restricted location. Florida searches also include in-home daycare data.
Prepare for Official Address Confirmation
Users can review the results before applying for housing, signing a lease, relocating, or discussing an address with an attorney, probation officer, parole officer, or local agency.
Nationwide Search With Florida-Specific Data
The address search is available for the United States. Because residency rules differ by jurisdiction, users choose the distance and location types applicable to the address they are researching.
For Florida addresses, Safe Living Search also includes in-home daycare results. In-home daycare data is not currently included for every other state.
