Our accessibility goal

We aim to follow generally recognized accessibility practices and use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a technical goal. This statement describes our goal and efforts; it is not a representation that every page or third-party component currently conforms in every respect.

Measures we take

Accessibility considerations incorporated into the Service include:

• semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and accessible names;
• keyboard-operable navigation and controls where supported;
• a skip link for moving directly to primary content;
• visible focus treatment and status or error messaging;
• responsive layouts and text that can be resized; and
• ongoing review of components, content, color contrast, and interaction patterns.

Using the Service

For the best experience, use a current version of a major browser and current assistive technology. Browser zoom and operating-system text, contrast, motion, and input settings may also improve usability. Some interactive map tasks may be inherently visual; contact us if you need help obtaining information through a reasonable alternative.

Third-party content

Parts of the Service rely on third-party components or content, including Google Maps, Stripe payment fields, embedded YouTube media, and linked external resources. We do not control every aspect of those services, but we seek accessible integrations and welcome reports about barriers encountered while using them through Safe Living Search.

Known limitations and continuing work

Complex maps, dynamically loaded results, and some third-party interfaces may present accessibility limitations. We continue to review the Service and prioritize improvements based on impact, technical feasibility, available standards, and user feedback.

Alternative access

If an accessibility barrier prevents you from using a feature or obtaining information, tell us what you were trying to access and the format or assistance that would work for you. We will make a good-faith effort to provide a reasonable accessible alternative where possible.
