Your information and choices
Privacy Choices & Data Rights
How to access, correct, delete, or otherwise exercise rights concerning your personal information.Your rights depend on where you live and whether a particular law applies to Safe Living Search. We honor applicable rights and will not discriminate against you for making a good-faith privacy request. For complete information about our practices, read our Privacy Policy.
Access and know
You may ask us to confirm whether we process your personal information and, where applicable, provide the categories or specific pieces we maintain, the sources and purposes, and the categories of recipients to whom it was disclosed.
Correct information
You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information, taking into account the nature of the information and why it is processed. Some profile details and search settings may also be updated through available account controls.
Manage saved search history
In Account → Search history, turn off Save search history to stop saving new searches to your account history. Saving is enabled by default. This preference is separate from browser location permission, and turning it off leaves existing history in place.
Use Remove for an individual search or Clear all search history for all saved searches, including older and previously hidden entries. After you confirm and deletion succeeds, the saved history, its results, and related result caches are permanently removed from our primary database. Your account and search credits are unaffected. Clear all does not turn off saving for future searches.
Search-operation records, including coordinates, and credit-ledger records remain for credit accounting and to prevent duplicate charges. These controls do not erase logs, backups, or information held independently by service providers. See the Privacy Policy for retention details, or use the request process below for broader deletion.
Delete information or your account
You may request deletion of personal information or your Safe Living Search account. Account deletion is designed to remove linked account, session, search, payment, and credit-ledger records from our primary database, subject to legal and operational exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.
Deletion is permanent. You will lose account access, saved searches, settings, purchase history, and any unused search credits. Unused credits are not automatically refundable, so review our Purchase & Refund Policy first.
Obtain a portable copy
Where applicable, you may request a copy of personal information you provided in a portable and, when technically feasible, readily usable format. We may omit information that would adversely affect another person’s rights or security.
Other applicable choices
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, or opt out of qualifying targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or significant-decision profiling.
Safe Living Search does not currently sell personal information, use or disclose it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, or profile users to make legal or similarly significant eligibility decisions. Therefore, there is presently no sale, targeted-advertising, or qualifying profiling activity to opt out of.
Verification and authorized agents
To protect your information, we may verify control of the account email and request information reasonably necessary to match you to our records. Do not email a password, complete card number, government identifier, or unnecessary sensitive information.
An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to verify your identity or confirm the request directly.
Submit a request
- Email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
- Identify the right you want to exercise and the email associated with your account.
- Describe the information or issue with enough detail for us to understand the request.
- Complete reasonable verification steps if we contact you.
We will acknowledge and respond within the period required by applicable law. If we need an allowed extension, we will notify you.
Appeal a decision
If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, reply to our decision with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line and explain why you believe it should be reconsidered. We will review the appeal and provide the information required by applicable law.
Legal and operational exceptions
Some requests may be limited or denied when permitted by law—for example, when information is needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting or tax records, dispute resolution, protection of another person’s rights, or establishment or defense of legal claims. We will explain a denial when required.
